The current success of periodontal and peri-implant surgical techniques depends on the perfect application of microsurgical techniques by adhering to the correct patient selection. At this point, the magnification-illumination systems that make up microsurgery and the selection of appropriate handpieces are of great importance.The choice of surgical magnifying glass or microscope directly affects the choice of surgical instrument. When the surgical magnifier is used with overhead lighting, the reflection on the selected surgical instrument is at minimum level.The clinician who prefers to use a microscope will be exposed to sharp light reflections due to direct lighting and will face the problem of eye fatigue.For these reasons, the basic and extended micro set has been prepared for the perfect application of modern periodontal surgical techniques.
