Chemical Integrators Class 5 - ISO 11140-1
The new Hu-Friedy Steam Sterilisation integrators are a multi-parameter chemical indicator and are a more stringent, reliable indication that sterilisation parameters have been met compared to other classes of sterilization monitors. The integrator is used to monitor the steam sterilization process and can be placed inside each pack or load.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
The integrator’s Moving Front Indicator Technology gives a better indication of acceptance, no interpretation of color change needed
The strip is easily visible inside the pack (2" long) allowing users to easily view the integrator from the outside of a pouch or within a cassette in order to view sterilization at a glance
Product is lead free and does not contribute to environmental lead contamination, making it safe for the environment, there are no special hazardous waste requirements
Product is not made with natural rubber latex making it safe for staff and patients with latex sensitivity or allergies
Integrators function with a variety of steam sterilizers - gravity, pre-vacuum and flash sterilizers, no need to inventory different monitor products
Integrators are a Class 5 sterilization monitor designed to react to all critical variables in the sterilization cycle: time, temperature and presence of steam

A Class 1 indicators used to verify that sterilisation parameters (time and temperature) have been met. Use one in each cassette or pouch and retain for office records.

IMS Monitor Tape
Strong tape can be written on and visually differentiates processed from non-processed cassettes. Available by procedure type (pre-printed), color-coded or blank.
Hu-Friedy has developed lead and latex free monitor tape for labeling and packaged instrument cassettes therefore expanding the product range of its successful instrument management system. The environmentally-friendly monitor tape excludes the risk of lead contamination and enhances safety for patients and users who suffer latex allergies.
The monitoring tape can be labeled, for example with cassette content and date, for greater transparency and efficiency in everyday practice work. It also serves as a reliable process indicator: Black strips appear on the tape once the cassette has been sterilised in the autoclave.
Confusion with cassettes that have not yet passed through this working step is reliably excluded as a result. Avoiding lead and latex, the new monitoring tape is simple to dispose of after use.

IMS Bonded Double Wrap
Two sheets of wrap ultrasonically bonded together on two edges for quick and easy wrapping application, assuring compliance
Hu-Friedy’s IMS Bonded Double Wrap allows dental practitioners to be in compliance with the most stringent sterilization standards for healthcare settings: EN868-2, EN ISO 11607-1, ANSI/AAMI ST79 and CDC Guidelines. The Wrap is two sheets of SMS polypropylene material bonded together allowing for efficient, simultaneous wrapping. The two sheets are different colors which aids in identifying breaches in the packaging post sterilization and also allows package differentiation by color. Compatible with the most common sterilization cycles, the material is also recyclable (as a recycle code of “5”)for reduced waste.

The IMS sterilization wrap is ideal for sterile storage and subsequently covering the hygienic work surface. Two functions are thus achieved by one product which saves time and money. The Hu-Friedy IMS sterilisation wrap is designed to overcome the oftentimes harsh conditions prior to, during and after sterilisation without problems. The unique composition of textile fibers makes the wrap soft enough for packaging yet robust for sterilisation and storage. The available monitor tapes guarantee that the packaging does not open up during the process and the color strips indicate what is not yet sterilised or already is. Hu-Friedy’s premium grade wrap is composed of textiles that are strong yet soft, reducing the potential for stress points at corners and tearing. Bagettes: Self-sealing Sterilisation Pouches
The Hu-Friedy Bagette self-sealing sterilisation pouch line includes a variety of sizes created to fit all your sterilisation needs.
Four of the sizes were specifically designed to fit our line of IMS cassettes. And four additional sizes are available for other items including rubber dam clamps, burs, hand pieces and loose instruments. Made of high quality medical grade paper and multi-layer plastic, the pouches include strong seals to prevent breaches and built in internal and external indicators for Steam and EO processes.
Feature and Benefits
Process indicators are located both internal and external to the instrument/cassette area and respond to all variables: time, temperature and saturated steam
Includes indicators for both Steam and EO processes - no need for offices to inventory different pouches for different processes
Maintains sterility of contents for up to 1 year post sterilisation: Pouches are designed and tested to maintain the integrity of properly processed devices for up to one year as long as the pouch remains properly sealed, undamaged, and stored at temperatures between 59-95°F (15-35°C), in an environment with relative humidity below 70%
Thick, strong seals protect against cassette and instrument breaches
High quality material construction - medical grade paper provides strength and durability. Multi-layer blue film allows user to easily see any tears in film

The IMS Infinity Series cassettes from Hu-Friedy feature a uniquely, sophisticated and ergonomical design with a revolutionary new hole pattern - for optimal use in thermodesinfector.
The IMS Infinity Cassette from Hu-Friedy features a more open, modern hole pattern and improved rail design that allows for more open area and less instrument contact for optimal cleaning, rinsing, and drainage and reduced potential for rinse shadows.
A more ergonomic, user-intuitive latch gives visual indication that the cassette is locked or unlocked. The cassettes have been designed to be compatible with all cleaning equipment, including TDI.
The new cassette line is available in multiple configurations in 1/4 DIN, 1/2 DIN, and full DIN as well as a 12 instrument Container Cassette. The cassette line is available in 11 rail colors, including three new colors: Purple, Ocean Blue, and Black.
New user-intuitive latch design:
Safe and easy to use for one-handed opening and for a visual control if cassette is locked or unlocked.
Optimized hole pattern design:
With more open area guarantees optimal cleaning, rinsing and drainage. Designed for the usage in thermodesinfector.

Lid and bottom are made of anodized aluminum making them lightweight with excellent drying properties. The aluminum alloy with an anodized oxide surface helps resist corrosion

Hence their size conforms with the DIN norm 13999. The container cassettes are made of a high-quality stainless steel and have silicone rails to fasten your instruments securely. The variety of the colour coded rails contributes to an optimal organization of your practice.
After the treatment, the IMS container cassettes, containing the complete instrument sets, are safely stored in our well-designed container. The container also serves as packaging for the steam sterilization according to the reprocessing procedures of dental hand instruments and accessories, as well as for the sterile storage that follows.
The dental containers are appropriate for the pre-vacuum, fractioned vacuum and fractioned streaming procedures. In addition to the disposable fabric filters, the Hu-Friedy permanent filters (PTFE) are ideal for the sterilization in that they are usable for up to 1200 sterilization cycles.
Special Hu-Friedy indicator/ labels which are placed on the container, give you the evidencing proof of effective sterilization, in that a colour change from pink to brown will take place. Our indication strips prove that your instruments have been sterilized. Keep one in every patient file as this will show your patients how important they and their health are to you.

This technology works by interrupting key cell functions that allow the microorganisms to function, grow and reproduce. Antimicrobial protection begins to work as soon as the microorganism comes into contact with the product surface and works continuously to inhibit the growth of microbes that can cause stain, odors and product degradation – for the lifetime of the product.

How do procedure tubs work?
Procedure tubs can be used as portable operatory drawers to store, organise, and transport consumable materials to and from the storage/sterilisation area and the operatory. All of the materials needed for a specific procedure are found in the tub. One tub is recommended for each procedure type (Crown & Bridge, Composite, etc.) if they are being stored in central sterilisation. If they are being stored in each operatory, one tub per procedure type is recommended per operatory.
How do procedure tubs work with Hu-Friedy IMS cassettes?
The Signature Series procedure tubs are available in colors that match IMS cassette rails, which allow the staff to match the tubs and cassettes by procedure. For example, blue cassette rails and a blue tub may represent a composite procedure. All of the consumable materials for composite procedures can be stored and organised in the blue tub and instrumentation stored in the cassette with blue rails, allowing for quick idenfication.
