Personalised Management of Gingivitis: PMPR, Oral Hygiene and Behaviour Change
Dental biofilm–induced gingivitis is common, preventable and a key warning sign for future periodontal disease.
This expert lecture explores how to move beyond a “one-size-fits-all” approach with personalised, evidence-based gingivitis management.
During this complementary lecture at the ISDH Congress, you will learn how clinical assessment, targeted PMPR, tailored self-care recommendations and behaviour change techniques can help improve patient motivation, long-term adherence and oral health outcomes.
Key learning objectives
- Recognise gingivitis early and assess patient needs.
- Adapt PMPR approaches for gingivitis management.
- Recommend tailored toothbrushes, interdental devices and plaque control aids.
- Use behaviour change techniques to improve motivation, adherence and long-term self-care.
